What’s been done:
Logo for print materials and workshop:
Printed workshop materials organized:
Printed workshop materials spread and stacked: There are 12 Experiment case studies for one of the exercises, 10 printed examples of innovative and well designed conference posters for another exercise, Bad Powerpoint by Seth Godin handout, post-workshop surveys, and presentation materials for my own use:
The chapters and sections for the Design for Science guide (workshop touchpoint) have been laid out. content will be derived from several design/typography/narrative references.
1. The actual presentation still needs to be produced. My science SME suggested I actually do this on Powerpoint for two reasons: It’s what the scientists expect (so use a communication medium they are comfortable with), and I can show them what a well designed powerpoint presentation should be in practice.
2. Motion Graphic video. The voice over script has gone out to the voice talent for recording this weekend. Asset production and rough cut will be part of Sprint Goal 2.
3. Thesis Promotional Materials.
